Got up this morning after a great weekend of boating and found what looks to be my fresh water running out of my shore water inlet bib, I never use shore water and haven’t done much with this system, any help would be appreciated.

The fitting on the outside of the boat is just a hose connection. Inside the boat is a regulator/backflow preventer. If it fails, you get either a leak inside the boat or outside as you have found. Be sure to change all the washers when you replace it.

Also, this is about an 8 Advil job if the regulator is near the transom............

If the regulator is near the transom can I just add this new Check valve near the inlet?

Is the water coming out of this? It's an easy part to replace.

do you have part number for the inlet/ check valve you used? where did yo order it from?

I bought the JABSCO 44412-1045 from West Marine thinking it would fit right into the original hole... (The previous one was JABSCO, which still had water in it after a weak attempt of winterizing two yeas ago.)
