Just worked on mine last week. Has a tapped hole with a screw in it that fits in the slot. I ran the screw out some to lengthen til it just fit in. Tighten plastic boot and hope for best or put in bigger screw.

Wish I would have done the same thing last year when I replaced all my electronics. I did change all the lights out for the LED's a couple years ago. The lights on the SeaView site are kinda what I'm looking for but they all attach to the mounts. I was hoping to find one similar that would attach to the arch. My arch seems to be solid so I don't think I have a rotting problem. Thanks for the info.
Dani-Lu wins. I like that fix, move to Florida and stop shrink wrapping. This light is becoming an expensive repair.I have been battling mine every year for the last 10+ years owning this boat. I fixed it with a set screw. But every year my mechanic lowers the light to shrink wrap, it never goes back up the same. So every spring I fix it again. Now that we are down south and don’t expect to ever shrink wrap again, I am going to try to fix this thing one last time, permanently. The one thing I am thinking of doing is get rid of the 3 pin female and male connectors and hardwire the light. This would give me the space between the wires to put a bolt thru the attachment point, keeping the light in place, and “straight”! Each season it has leaned right or left and of course my marina buddies point it out all season, especially after a few cocktails.
John, come on down!!! I left all my friends on Long Island. I am running out of things to talk to my wife and dog about.
