Hi,
I'm considering buying a Searay 310 and moving it from San Diego to Lake Powell. I will have to find a trailer for it also. Does anyone know a rough cost to do this...any advice? Thanks for any comments!!
Cheers, Mike

The cost of moving my 36DB from Alabama to Florida was 9K, but a lot had to be removed before transport because of the bridge height. A new trailer for a 310 triple axle would be around 10K+ Lance

San Diego Boat Movers moved ours from AZ to San Diego. We were able to piggy back with a load and saved us $$$. If they have one they are going there for anyway, and would be going there empty, might save you some $$. They did a good job for us. JP

When I got transport quotes they generally ran about $7-$10 per mile. That should give you a ball park number. Good luck.

Are you having the boat slipped on Lake Powell from San Diego? Or are you planning on trailering it to the lake from home on weekends? If it is going to be slipped on Powell, you wouldn't need a trailer just to get it there. The haulers have the trailers.

The trailer is the hardest part. Any diesel truck will tow it just fine.

It will cost you a fortune to have someone else tow it. If you can find a trailer, and don't have a truck, it would be cheaper to buy a truck, tow it, and sell it than to pay someone else.

Pretty sure you could find someone to move it for the cost of a trailer. The thing is, having a trailer is incredibly helpful as you can haul her out for anything at your discretion. My 310DA actually had a trailer when I purchased it - and I had a custom gooseneck made for our 370DA as it had to come out of the water for 6 months a year in CO and there were no lifts on the lake.

If I was going to spend the money, I'd buy a trailer and find someone to pull it for you if you don't have a truck for the job.
