Anyone need a Clarion XMD2 and wired remote? It works fine, I swapped it out so that I could get a radio with bluetooth. Thought I would offer it up here before tossing it. Free to anyone that's willing to pay for shipping.

Going to do the same. Are you sticking with Clarion? What unit are you purchasing?

I installed a single DIN Kenwood marine unit that I took out of my Jeep, a couple pairs of new JBL 6200's, and I put a clock in the 2" hole. I couldn't find a remote that would fit and I can control the volume from my phone or the wireless remote. Electrical hookup was easy, Crutchfield had the radio wiring and the boat wiring diagram is in the owners manual. I wired the clock to the fuse block so it has constant power whenever the battery is turned on. I actually like the clock more than I thought I would, its far easier to read than the phone.

Two problems though; the XMD2 was a little oversized versus the single DIN sleeve I got from Amazon so I am looking for a marine cover that might tighten up the fit. Other problem is we use the boat for tubing, and whenever I restart the boat the bluetooth disconnects or pauses. I got a new battery switch/ACR to replace my 1+2 so that the starting battery is isolated from the house battery when starting. Plan is to get another fuse block and wire the stereo directly to the house battery so that I don't get the power surge.

I do, although the remote might be spoken for. What do you need?

Wanted to retrofit the remote to my existing, I have the same head unit, I might be able to fix the remote what's the issue?

Then again maybe I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth anyway

Sorry, it’s gone.
