I have a twin 2006 4.3 mpi's. While coming up on plane my starboard died, gauges for stbd engine stopped where they where there was no overheating, oil pressure fine, and battery good. Tried to restart but nothing I get a click but fuel pump doesn't come on no power to the breaker there is no power to the the circuit breaker. There are no popped fuses, there is power to the starter, the interrupter switch appears to work the drive goes up and down batteries are good and connections are clean. Everything system works on the boat up unable to start. Going to the mechanic today. What could the problem possibly be?

You say you've got power to the starter - is it turning over? Or is it just clicking?

There is no power to the 50 amp breaker. There is one click when I turn it on.

Check the slave solenoid. My 5.7 engine it's located on top of engine near the breaker. I just had to replace it because of a no start condition. Not sure about the 4.3 but probably similar.

Might be where the engine harness connects on the top and back of the engine. It is about a 12 pin connector 1 1/4 diameter with a rubber boot and hose clamp. Loosen the clamp, separate the connect and reconnect pushing the two halves together firmly. Make sure the pins are properly lined up though.

I had that problem doing a “wire shake” revealed it.

Good luck.
