Looks like I will need to replace bellows on my drive. As stated above it’s an Alpha 1 Gen 2 unit. Wondering if people have recommendations on Kits to use or stay away from? There seems to be quite a selection and price range showing up on the web. Don’t want one that only lasts half a season because it’s junk to start with. So, stick with Mercury/Quicksilver or are less expensive options available and worth it???

General consensus I've seen is stick with OEM, my only first hand experince is with OEM impellers vs Sierra OEM seems to last twice as long in my experince

I had this done this year on both drives. I did Bellows, gimble, shift cables, and trim senders. ALL OEM parts.

You can't go wrong with the OEM parts, but I have found Sierra to be pretty much spot on with OEM. When I did my bellows / shiftcable / trim senders I decided to use Sierra. The cost was about 20% less than OEM and I did not have any issues. That was 4yrs ago and zero problems. I figured I was doing the work myself, so if I had a problem with the part, it was my labor to replace it. Also, my boat is dry stored.

I have not had the same luck with Sierra. OEM only here. Especially with something that can sink a boat.
