Oh ok sorry, yea I have to check the colors on there I believe they are color coded from the eim harness.
Kevin I did some diagnosing last night with a test light. I jumped out the solenoid and everything worked as it should. Light came on the dash and up/down buttons working. Then I put test light on the small terminal that is supposed to supply power from switch. Both small posts have constant ground. And when I hit the button to energize the system the red/white wire flashes positive power. I didn’t think to test the other terminal. I just assumed it stayed ground. But not I believe it is supposed to change polarity also

Ok, so your main system works - that is good news. That means your Keypad is responding and getting the signal to turn on the light from the EIM.

So voltage is going to the solenoid from the EIM if it is lighting the light you attached. My guess would be that if you checked the fuse at the solenoid then it would be the solenoid. Does that sound right?

Yes I just got off the phone with tech support and walked them through what I did to diagnose. They said correct the solenoid is the problem. Picking one up from marine max today. Which is funny because dealer had it a couple bucks cheaper than fp marine website.

Yea fuse is good, it’s gotta be the solenoid. Spoke with tech support at sea ray and he agreed based on the diagnostic procedure I went through. Also marine max parts guy said they sold ten of them last summer and it’s fairly common that they go bad

Hanging on the rope hangers in the back hatch. I’ll take a pic today

I was thinking of one in the transom locker for city water but I also wanted one between the fresh water tank and the water pump.

Anyone have major issues with your Cabin door jamming? Replaced the broken truck but the new one destroyed itself in one day. The door just does not feel like it is sliding like it should. Should I lubricate the bottom track with marine lubricant as a start? I will be taking pics of the top and bottom tracks and update this post over the weekend. Thanks in advance for any input.
The track is screwed in to the fiberglass below it. Try checking to see that the mounting screws are all tight and not protruding up into the track. It sounds to me like a loose mounting screw may be chewing up the truck as it rolls across a screw in the track.

Thats why I mounted mine on the dock. Regardless of where I pull water to (tank or city connection) my water is filtered. I have a duplex connection so wash down is not filtered.

Traveling I use the Camco and hook it up to the city water - again both my sources (tank or city connection) are protected. The Camcos are small and store easily in the aft locker.

Bad solenoid, fixed. Thank the lord

can someone please post/send me the brand and model number for the hot water heater on a 2006 340. I'm buying this boat, scheduled to close next week and the survey uncovered that the hotwater heater is leaking. I've negotiated with the seller that he will deduct the cost of a new water heater from the purchase price.

I'd like to get the make and model so I can look up the price.
any recommendations on a good source to purchase the water heater would also be appreciated.

I live in Annapolis MD

thanks
John

The original was the 6gallon Attwood but many have recommended the Kuuma water heaters.

See if u can fit one in there with a slightly larger capacity

More hot water is better if you use a lot of hot water but make sure the footprint is the same and only a vertical change or you may not be easily able to fit it. Also keep in mind that the fresh water pump is mounted to the top of the water heater and does not come with it. If you are changing dimensions you may need to fabricate a new mount.

I would also verify what was leaking. If its the mixer or the pressure relief valves they are not part of the replacement heater and can be changed on their own.

Thanks guys
Will look at the Kuuma but for ease of installation I think I’ll go with the same one if I can find it.

I plan to install myself this fall when the weather is cooler.

Can they be replaced without removing the exhaust elbow? I can't remember if there is enough clearance.

Fortunately I have not had to replace mine so I do not have first hand experience with that. Personally I would not sweat removing the elbows if needed. It's just a few extra bolts and a little additional expense for a gasket.
