i want to know if any sea ray Sundancers have wood coring and if they do where is it.

Do any of the hulls have wood coring?

Sea Rays and many other brands have used balsa coring above the water line for years. I don't know which models or years.

Yes. Most Searay boats do have coring. There are different types of coring depending on year make and model and also what factory built the boat.

You can contact Searay and they will tell you but I’m guessing your “heard” all the bad things about coring. Balsa cored boats can have issues if it had water intrusion but you would know this at survey. Please provide some background on why you’re asking this questions and we can guide you through it. Coring is not a bad thing and almost all boats have some version of a cores hulk or deck.

Depends which boat. Smaller boats will have cored decks and transoms. Larger boats may core the hull to reduce weight.

All Sea Rays with closed decks over a cabin area are cored in the deck area. Most transoms are cored with plywood, on i/o powered boats the plywood is structural, on inboard powered boats the plywood is smaller and is laid in the mold to give the manufacturer something to fasten components to.

Generally anything under 40ft is a solid hull boat; above 40ft, it depends upon the model, the factory and the layup schedule for that model, which can change from year to year.
