Lake Saint Clair Peeps

Thanks for the kind words guys. It was nice meeting up with you again Brent. We are in East Tawas right now. Our portside transmission locked into forward gear. Our other two boats left this morning for the Canadian ports. We are going to head back towards home early in the morning. If we're able to keep running on two motors without the transmission heating up we will make it back in 8 hours. If not its going to be a long ride.

Well it was a long 8 to 8-1/2 hour run but we made it. The transmission held up and his boat ran awesome. Now I'm sitting in the cabin of Bottom's Up (that's the name of MY boat Brent:D) having something to eat and going to bed. Night Night...

Ok guys, I need some help here. I have having some electrical issues with some of the electronics I have on our boat. Nothing critical as far as being able to run the boat (back up camera, weather module, ect) but they are driving me crazy.
I have spoken with a person who is from the area and is highly recommended as one of the local experts, but when I speak with them, they sound as if they are interested in the job (investigating the issue, then repair or replace) but I can't seem to get them to the boat or respond to my follow up inquires.
If you know of any good electronics guys located in the Anchor Bay area (or just located near Lk St Clair), please let me know who is good.
If I don't get any sort of response from the initial person I spoke with, I would like to get someone else lined up. I don't want to identify who I originally spoke with, I am sure they are busy and that is why I haven't got any feedback, but I need to have a plan in place incase I don't get any type of service.
Thank you in advance.

Brent, I bet I can guess who it is.. He installed all my electronics and at first is a PITA to get to come out or even return your call. Once he does he’s the best IMO. It’s def something he needs work on. With that being said he is slammed and understaffed.

Brent- I. Will second the recommendation of Brian Lipscomb. He has installed and interfaced new ICOM and Garmin equipment. The latest install was two new Garmin 8212 mfd displays and Garmin Phantom open array on my boat last year while in storage at Algonac Harbor Club. Give him a call.

GasketGuy and 400 EC Michigan, thank you for the recommendation of Brian. I will plan on giving him a call in the next few days if the original guy I talked to keeps "ghosting" me.

@ 400 EC Michigan, I think I meet you and your wife last August in Lexington during the Margarita festival. We will be back this summer for the same event, hopefully we can have a cold one together.

Brent- We did meet in Lexington last year. Our boats were stored next to each other at AHC over the winter as well. Your boat looks fantastic. I really like the 480 DB. Hope to see you again this year.

Scott how many batteries do you have per motor? Does it try to start with regular ignition switch or does it not do anything? Maybe put starboard cables on the port battery and see if switch/motor works then. If 2 batteries per motor might be having a problem with the other battery even though it is testing OK.
