I have a 2005 Sea Ray Sundancer 240 and when I turn the sink on after I filled up the water tank, there is no pressure and no water coming out. Where is the water pump switch? Can you please help?

Thanks
TOM

Just to give you something before someone with a 240 chimes in, my water pump switch is at the helm on the starboard side keypad, on the right side. It has a little squiggly horizontal line symbol on it. Odd place for the water pump switch, but...that's where it is. The 240 may have a similar keypad layout?

Hello, its crazy, I tried what you said to do and that button acutally makes my windshield wiper work, acutally two different buttons will turn it on. Any help is much appreciat.

Sounds like a problem with the switch pad, and not allowing you to turn on your water pump. short or something? You may be able to remove the connector on the backside and verify it works using a wiring diagram...

If your water pump is on and you are not getting water, it is possible that your water filter is clogged. Check that too.

have you heard the pump run at all?

I think I'd try checking for power at the pump. if there's none there then start working backwards and find where the power is lost.....bad fuse somewhere? ....bad switch?

if there's power at the pump then maybe you have a faulty pressure switch. "shrug"

good luck....let us know what you find.

Hi all, I have the same problem. I just got a 2001 290 Bowrider. There is no Fresh Water switch on the dash anywhere. there is no switch that I can see anywhere around the helm. I have no idea how to turn the water on. The previous owner did not know how to do that either!!!. ANY HELP would be very appreciated. There must be some one out there with a 290 Bowrider. Thank You, Lenny Manahawkin N.J.

Lenny, post a pic of your dash - especially the buttons and their symbols. Do you have one with a box/squiggly line?

Neither of my SRs had a switch. The 12v breaker turned it on and off....

I was wondering that, too. I just don't remember well enough - it's a bowrider, which would indicate a dash switch is used... but it's a larger bowrider so it could be a breaker.

Thank You all for the responses!!! So , No there is no button or rectangular box with Wavy Lines on the dash . I have looked in the circuit breaker box for a breaker that would say FRESH WATER, but I do not see one. I also do not know if my boat has a water heater. There is only one knob on each sink. I will continue the search. Its incredible to me that this would be this difficult . Thank You all once again!!! Lenny Foffa

One knob = no HWH. But if you want to be sure, just look around for the HWH. It's gotta be 29' one way or the other from you!

Post some pics of your dash (making sure that all of the buttons are visible) and breaker panel. Either you're just not figuring it out, or some previous owner drastically changed things.

I first looked here for a manual for your boat but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one: https://www.searay.com/page.aspx/pageid/162289/Owners-Resources.aspx

But a quick google search turned up the Supplement manual on manualslib:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1007215/Sea-Ray-2001-290-Bow-Rider.html?page=11#manual

Page 11 there shows your dash layout. Where your "ACC 1" is labeled is my freshwater pump switch. Hard to imagine that would be it and labeled like that on your boat, but it's worth a try pushing it and seeing what happens.

You should also go into your engine room and find the water pump and see if it is making noise; I'm guessing not because it is not powered on. You should find a blue plastic tube running around down there, from your water tank to the pump and then upwards to your sinks. The blue plastic tube is around a 1/2" (if you also had hot water, you'd see red tubes also). Now this is all in regards to my '03, but our boats look very similar so I'd think they'd have use the same parts and equipment. FYI, my water pump is mounted on top of my water heater on the starboard side of the boat, very near the transom. You don't have the water heater so yours is probably different.

Good luck and please let us know what you find...for the next person to run into this!
