I didnt recall seeing this poster on any recent threads. I wish the Boogaboo team well...I have enjoyed the videos and the spirit in which they were produced....check out the links for further info on his personal situation.

Do you have a part number or a link to the seals? Or are all vacuflush seal kits the same?

If your is the same as mine (probably is) then the Dometic Part number is 385311462.

Scooper......if the vacuum generator makes vacuum, but the bowl loses water over time, then it is the seals. If the vacuum generator runs constantly, then it is either the duckbill valves or the plunger on the vacuum generator. From watching Boogaboo's videos, if I had to change the duckbills, I'd also change the plunger while I was there. That's just me.

Thanks. Can you tell I'm trying to avoid doing the duck bills? It's not the nastiness that bugs me (I have a box of neoprene gloves from Harbor Freight, so I'm good). It's that the access to those pumps sounds like a PITA. But, what on a boat isn't, right? LOL

I understand where the duck bills are. But I'm not sure where the plunger is on the vacuum generator. I didn't see that mentioned in Bugaboo's videos. Did I miss it?

Also, I'm assuming the duck bills are the standard 1-1/2" ones, right? These?

scooper321....what I've been calling the "plunger" is actually the "bellows". It is what generates the vacuum. There are duckbill valves, usually 2 in series, both before and after the bellows, for a total of 4 duckbills. As far as size goes, there are 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch. Not sure how to determine which you have or what I have for that matter. Maybe someone will chime in on that issue.

Depending on your exact setup, to remove the duckbills sometimes you have to remove the vacuum generator. Since you're right there with all that $hit in your hands anyway, you may as well kill 2 birds with one stone.
