Just purchased a 1989 180BR with the 4.3 175 hp I/O. Needs a little work cleaning interior, polishing etc. Has all covers and was in the same family all its life. Been reading articles in the forum and just had to join.

Found myself in the same position last summer. Enjoy the ride!

Welcome to CSR and to your first "it's mine" SeaRay. If you've been a CSR reader for awhile you probably already know that we have a saying...."Without photos, it didn't happen."

So take some pics of your new baby and share them with us. We all like to see others' boats, where the do boating, and the family on board.

Joe, your new SR is one of my all time favorite boats. I love the lines, the interior colors and scheme and the way it rides in the water.

Thanks for sharing those pics. She looks like a beautiful boat and I'm sure you will be making many memories with it.

Thanks GFC I am just so happy this boat had all the covers. And she runs awesome. She cleaned up much better than I expected. We are already making memories.

Wow, I can't believe that boat is 30 years old. Looks great. Was the interior vinyl replaced? Welcome to CSR
Bridog no it has not according to the old owner. I did have to replace some wood under the vinyl when the T-nuts pulled out of wood. It looked original to me see picfures.

Amazing how that cleaned up. Colors are identical to my 88 Wellcraft 210. I had issues with that cockpit floor. The wood started to rot under the carpet and the seats had to be re-attached. Wet carpet and wood don't mix. Again, she sure looks great. Really like the forward bow rails around the seating area. Good luck with her. Brian

Welcome!
My first “non-Dad” boat was almost identical, just a little bigger. 89 210 BR. Great boat. As stated, watch out for soft floors. Don’t let it stay wet inside and opt for indoor storage if possible, even if under a portable carport. Not too hard to repair if the damage isn’t extensive. Get a taller bimini top. That factory top is great in the rain but terrible for everyday use.
I don’t have any better pics handy but they clean up nicely. Just sold it to a friend a couple of years ago and still see it nearly every weekend.
