Looking for replacement for horn in my 2001 Sundancer 310 and can’t find anywhere. Any ideas where I might find it? I want to replace it with same horn
Thanks

I replaced mine with an electric twin trumpet type mounted on the roof. The original equipment one is designed poorly, so, I just left it in and unhooked it.

Pilot, where did you find your horn? Do you disconnect old horn and use original button or add new horn button? Thanks in advance

I did the same but left the original duck quack in place. I installed a 12 relay to feed larger gauge wiring to an Ongaro dual trumpet mounted on the arch. The trumpets are very LOUD.

Got it online,, several companies sell them. No, I left the original button and horn in place,, I mounted the horn on the roof and ran wires to the dash, then drilled small hole and installed a separate button. Looks very professional.

Thank you

In my earlier post I mentioned I added a relay. I will explain better. The existing horn switch sends power to the OEM duck quacker. So I left that wiring in place.

I ran a power line off of the back of that switch that sends power to the EOM horn to feed the activation side of the relay. So the relay now activates when the horn switch is pressed.

Then I ran new higher gauge wiring to the new trumpet horn via the power side of the relay so as not to overload the wiring.

So both horns sound when I push the switch. But there is no way that anyone can hear the duck over the sound of those trumpets. I am still cleaning up the dog doo doo from when I first sounded the new horns while underway. (and my wife's as well!)

Basically it is this (ignoring the extra horn and 87a wire and running the ground from the new horn back to the ground bus for that battery bank instead of to the body):

I am about to attempt to install the sea dog max blast dual trumpets on my 340da. I wanted to simply splice into the horn on the dash so I would not have to have any extra switch up there. From your post I couldn’t gather if you are able to activate the horn with the factory dash switch or not. Thanks for your help.

+1 on the trumpets. Did ours last year since no one paid attention to the duck quack. (Also got some pretty confusing stares). Hit the trumpets and much attention is received. Wired mine the same way as Creekwood, although I DC'd the duck.
