So I have been working this problem and we finally got to the place where we pulled the fridge from under the cabinet and confirmed we do in fact have 112V at the plug. The fridge in the cabin will run fine on 12V but will not fun on shore power. This never cold is original to the boat. So my question is does anyone have experience with a fix for this issue?

Had a similar issue with the cockpit frig last year, and it was a bad AC Power Board that was mounted on top of the unit. Can you get a pic of the unit (from the top)?

MY fix to DC opp but no AC opp would be:

1. Place beer in fridge
2. Plug boat into shore power
3. Turn on converter/charger
4. Remove beer from fridge
5. Drink beer

Have the same issue now. Fridge works on 12 v only. I pulled it from the cabinet and confirmed it is receiving both 12v and AC. My vintage has the large block style inverter attached to the back next to the compressor. The power supply on these go bad and the part isnt made anymore. At this point I am just riding it out till it dies completely.

Current SOP as of now... go down on Thursday night turn on the batteries, turn on fridge. Friday night bring cold beer from home add to now cold fridge. Remove beer pry open seal consume , repeat process

Usually the transformer is the culprit and can be replaced any 12v transformer will work just bring the board in to an electronics repair shop and have them solder in a new one .
You'll get a better price if you dress in flannel and say CAMPER FRIDGE when you get it done it'll cost 70 % less
