2006 270 sundeck computer glitch??

I have a 06 sundeck with a merc 496 and on occasion the boat suddenly shuts down or I get a single beep from the dash and the boat will stumble,it will always restart and then runs fine.... Wondering if anyone has experienced this? Thanks for any help
 
My guess is your cool fuel module is starting to fail. My 496 did the same thing and within a month it died.
Easy fix but pricey.
 
Thanks for the input .. what were your symptoms before the fail
 
Would be driving along and boat would shut off. Usually without a beep, sometimes with a long continuous beep after it shut down. Always restarted. Then one day it didn’t.......
