Anyone have experience with Brit Global Specialty USA insurance? I got a "yacht insurance" quote from NBOA and that's the underwriter. Seems to be AM Best A+ rated. The quote is very competitive with several other underwriters. I've just not heard of them before.
The weird thing is - I got a quote last February and all were in the $1500 range. I got new quotes yesterday for the exact same coverage as before and all the quotes through Global Marine went up $1000 (Chubb, Markel, AIG, Geico). The NBOA / Brit quote stayed about the same. I certainly don't mind saving $1000, but need a reliable vendor. I do still need to get and read the entire policy.
