I have an Atwood 6 gallon hot water tank and I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with no hot water and low water pressure.

I had some service performed last year and they put the water in/out for engine heat exchanger in a loop. Now the loop is gone. Do you know if it's required to have a loop in/out on the hot water tanks or it is ok to leave off if you do not need hot water while away from shore power?

It is perfectly fine to leave the "loop" off of the unit as long as you are OK without HW away from shore power. Just make sure the hoses or fittings on the engine are plugged/capped off.

If you are on shore power and have no hot water, the thermostats may be bad. There is a high and a low limit thermostat. One has a reset button on the back between the terminals. Try that. I had that issue. Saved me a lot of $$. You can also buy the thermostats as a pair on Amazon pretty cheap. PITA to change them out, as there is no way to see what you're doing with out a mirror.
