just checking to see what everyone is using for a diesel additive. I’ve heard good things about Opti Lube.

I follow FrankW’s outline linked to above.

OP isn’t a “member”, so someone posting a link to “member only” sections is probably less than helpful.

All the advertising on my screen doesn’t pay csr enough? They need to gouge for access to the good sections?

Having that discussion would take this thread off in a widely divergent tangent. So I’ll just say that the knowledge I learn from this site is well worth 25 bucks a year. Shoot, learning aside, the stuff I read on this site saves me that much in real dollars on items I need to purchase for my boat as well as saving me hours in research by telling me where to find them!

But to answer your question directly, yes, learning how to properly treat my fuel so that my expensive engines live long and healthy is certainly worth an additional $25 a year. To me, anyway.

#1 it's $25 a year....
#2 It's for diesel fuel management and you are a gas boat
#3 Go stir the pot somewhere else

So, because the boat in my details has petrol engines, I’m not allowed to own or care about other diesel engines ?

clubsearay.com is a free forum. The Club Level section is a "members only" area that and requires a moderate donation to the site to join. CSR is owned and maintained by a business owner here in the US. He has established membership levels that are based on other similar internet forum costs.

Complaining about it isn't going to do you any good since those are the rules you agreed to play by when you joined CSR. Furthermore, it is the universal opinion that we all get more total value out of clubsearay.com than our cost. In fact, this is by far the best boating forum on the internet and the benefits extend beyond the occasional boating answer........we get early notices on electronic and boating equipment sales, we get access to the foremost electronics dealer in the US, some of my best friends were met first online here on CSR, and there are some very high level serious mariners here who are willing to share their knowledge for no personal gain other than to help others.

If the Club Level isn't for you; that's ok. But you will get a lot more value and enjoyment here if you lighten up on something you are not going to change anyway.
