New Rule shower sump (no output)

Thanks guys. Will try this tomorrow. Have the day off and planning to work on it all day. Wife has to take her car in for oil change so I may be forced to go with her....lol.

I don't think there is a hose restriction cause I can blow through it pretty easily but will try water. It could be that the pump can't pump it uphill? But the original was an 800 GPH, same as I replaced it with.

There is also no power to that pump using the right connector. I am borrowing the connector from the mid cabin bilge pump to power it for now. Can't find that issue either. Have other things to do to get it ready and we will probably never shower on it so not going to spend too much time on this until I get everything else ready. Just that I had to remove my cabin steps to get to it and wanted to get it fixed before I put it back together.

I'll try the water tomorrow and report back

You can buy just the pump motor with the impeller. I got mine on line and it worked fine. Just look for pump using model number on the pump. That solved the problem after the pump did not turn off for weeks once when we were not on the boat. Pump still worked but had little power.

The Rule 800 can pump up quite a hill.

Another item worth trying is the bring your dockside water hose into the cabin with a spray nozzle on it, push the nozzle into the bilge line and let it rip. I've done this a once or twice to clear the lines between the shower and the sump box. High pressure water will help move any hairballs or the like...

I ran water through the hose today from my garden hose and it seemed to work after that. Now I just need to figure out why I have no power to the plug for it. I had been running it from the plug for the mid cabin pump. The shower sump plug has no power.

Also installed my new SS thru hull for my AC so thats done now
