That's a tough one. I dont see it in the Sea Ray parts manual I have. Can you see if there is a part number or label on the switch? Might have to pull it out. Also, the switch should have the electrical ratrings. That might help identify it or a suitable replacement.

ill have to try to pull out next time on boat I will post when I find out

It may be something you can get through the stovetop manufacturer (Kenyon?).

It's probably just gunked up. Try some CRC Electronic Cleaner (or similar - even rubbing alcohol). Spray it on from the top side and work the switch with your hand.

its been soaking for 2 days now with no luck wd40 ill try rubbing alcohol thx

OK. If it doesn't work by soaking, then remove it and play around with it. You might be able to do more with it removed. The CRC would be my go to on this - but other things can certainly work.

Its not on the Kenyon site that I could find...

This may be one of those things were a phone call ends up being more productive. But still, awful nice of you to check for him!

I have a lot of info on this stuff as I've worked through my boat. I thought I had seen this part in my travels...

Maybe you saw it in the original owner's manual for the stove? That would have come with the boat when new, anyways.

Chris - did you ever find a replacement button? I have a new to me 2006 290DA and the button is stuck also. I removed it and soaked it and still no luck.

No I never did find it. I just bypassed it for now. Just have to remember to shut the stove off before putting the lid back on.

Did either of you ever try contacting Kenyon directly?

I tried today but the engineer was busy. Left a message but never got a call back. I did find the serial number for the cooktop and there is a part number on the button which I can read a little bit. I will let you guys know what I figure out. It seems like a simple piece to replace but you never know.

I bypassed mine too. I rarely use the stove and always cut the power when I'm done so no big deal...

I just got in touch with a Kenyon engineer. As it turns out, that switch is not from them. He said Sea Ray installed in in the counter and its a common "plunger switch." So...has anyone been able to access it? Is it easier to remove the cooktop or the fridge below it?

I came here to ask about the Kenyon stove, and found this, so thanks gentlemen!

My stove hasn't worked since I got the boat. I saw this switch on the left side, figured it might be some kind of safety switch, and it's definitely frozen. I looked at the schematic for the stove and it's called "stove top remote micro switch".

Has anyone had success just bypassing this? I always turn off the main stove breaker on the AC panel anyway.

Thanks Dennis I will give this a try!

Good luck, Phil!

As long as you understand the risks of defeating the safety switch, sure, bypassing would be very easy. It's just a simple on/off switch.
