My launch date had changed a few times but we finally got in the water on May 17. Watched the weather, there had been small craft advisories but the 17th was looking good for a run to my slip. We stayed on the boat Thursday nite in the shed.

The winds were out of the N and NE, the worst direction but they were light. The weather was going to change for the rest of the weekend, rain, wind...gale warnings.

We were set in around 1 o'clock. Got a little fuel, fired up, check some things, left that marina at 3:15. Somehow we forgot the binoculars. I wasn't comfortable running first thing in the spring without them so had to buy another pair. Lots of wood out on the lake, had to steer around many big enough to ruin the day.

I arrived at my marina at 8:45, everything ran as it should. There is no cell service for the most of my run so my wife always insists on the last goodbye kiss thinking she'll never see me again but so far I keep arriving at the other end.:) My wife leaves the launch site and drives the truck around to our summer marina, she has 180 miles to go. I only have 120 but I'm slower so she is always there to watch me come in. She got a couple decent pics....
