I have a 1988 searay Seville 4.3 mercruiser and need to add power steering fluid in it. Would royal purple be a good product to use?

If it's red add atf. If it's amber add power steering fluid. Royal Purple is good stuff

The reservoir looks empty nothing on dipstick.If it's red add atf. If it's amber add power steering fluid. Royal Purple is good stuff

Or what should I use in it if I can't tell the color of it?The reservoir looks empty nothing on dipstick.

Take your pick, there probably is an issue with it and you'll probably end up draining and repairing something.
