getting to be that time again!
I was wondering where everyone who uses presta products has found to be the best place to buy them?

I think I bought off amazon last year but curious if there is a better place?

Almightys, I'm looking for the best prices on Presta right now also. I work in Warren...lol.
I plan to go down to Painters Supply on Vandyke North of 8 Mile and get some prices this week. I will be glad to share the prices once I get them. They did say they have to order most of it but they are a Presta distributor. The number is(586) 754-5600

Lol awesome, didn’t think I had a boating neighbor in The Warren!
Yes please post up what you find

Myroc are you in Bouvier Bridge marina by chance?

Just look for detailing supplies online. I found that I get way better prices there than from Presta’s website or Amazon.

So, Amazon has some Presta stuff however can't find anything that is available with Prime. Most of the sellers are charging huge shipping fees. I called Finnish Master in Fraser (586)439-6008 and ordered everything there. They will have it by Friday. I want to say a quart was 48.00 I will post my invoice once I pick it up.

The Bouv is the place to be, haha lol.
We are on A Dock, Slip 11, boat name is Irie.
Can't wait to get back in the water and out on the lake. Going to be a fun year with some good trips already planned.

I used the super cut compound and it was FAR superior to any of the other stuff. very easy to work with and not much dust. believe me ive tried them ALL. the result was stunning and ive had many compliments on my 95 330da. I used a rotary buffer with the foam pads from harbor freight.

I used the Presta Gel Coat and loved it. Also used the Super Cut and was equally impressed. I need to order som of the Gel Coat product soon. Very good product

Anyone want to share where they bought? Lol

I just bought products and am excited to give it a try. Are you using the foam pads over a wool pad? Just curious what everyone thinks works better.
I never had good luck with the wool pads... I strictly use the foam. I use a 10" dia from harbor freight. the compounding pad lasts a long time as long as you don't hit any sharp edges. also the foam cleans up with water pretty well.

I bought my Gel Coat compound at a local auto body supply shop. They said somebody requested it awhile back so they kept it in stock. The Super Cut was ordered online but forget where.

What did you use for a finishing polish after you used the compound and before you waxed?
My surface is in good shape and doesn’t need compound. But I do like to polish it before I apply my wax and I’m always looking to try new and better stuff.
I’ve been using Gel Coat Labs products the last few years and really like their polish and compound but always looking to try new stuff.

Presta Ultra Polish

Presta has five grades of abrasives. From harshest to lightest they are:

Super Cut
Gel Coat Compound
Ultra Cutting Creme
Ultra Cutting Creme Light
Ultra Polish

I use the polish annually and step up to the UCCL for areas more prone to oxidation. I dont usually have to go any harsher than that. Although I do have a bottle of the others on the shelf (collecting dust).
