Hi have a 1000$ question. 2003 410 Sundancer 3126Cats 350hp new to me last year. The most I can get a WOT is 2650rpm @ 29.5mph have props at shop they are dead on 22x23 ( was hoping they were off making it a easy decision ) should I have them made to 22x22 or keep them stock 22x23 ? Or tell “Admiral” less stuff :) Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I have a 2001 410 w/3126’s, new to me last year as well. I’m at 2750. The stock answer is they should turn 2800+ A few RPM as you have her outfitted (normal fuel, water and all your gear). Also clean bottom and running gear.

The next question is how are you measuring RPM. Stock gauges are notoriously in accurate. You need to measure with photo tach or go with Aetna tachs. Sea ray is known to over prop from factory.

A couple options...lighten the boat, or have the props redone to achieve 2800 + a few. It may be up to 2” in your case to get above 2800, but listen to your prop guy.

That's about all the speed I could ever get out of my 410DA running factor props even after tuning, and I was right at 2800 +/- RPM with Aetna's. I pretty much always ran with 1/2 to full tanks of fuel, 1/2 to 3/4 tank of water, and believe it or full tabs (to get the stern out of the water) for optimum speed.

Same here, the most I ever got was 2800 and currently about 2650. We carry a good supply of provisions, water, food, drinks, clothing, spare parts, tools, cooking and serving utensils etc. I am okay running at 2400 getting about 20 knots. I can feel when I have slime on the bottom but run it to salt water and it cleans it up and I increase speeds noticeably. Just the extra buoyancy of salt water gives me an extra knot or so at 2400 RPM.
