Redo it in teak or mahogany using the old one as a template. Here are some of the ones I have done:

Here is the newer style used in the 2005-2009 280DA. Mounting would be difficult and you would probably have to patch the holes in the gel coat from the older style holder you have now.

How did you secure bolts on underside? I'm not sure how to get under port side dash?
I have the same question. I bought the stainless one last season but haven't tried installing yet. it seems like you could gain access from under the courtesy light in the cabin, but you'd have to cut the ceiling panel to gain access. Did you remove the panel entirely to get under there?
