I got this in the mail today. Apparently, our marina shares their mailing list with Marine Max. Seeing the prices for the spring commissioning made me wonder if I should create a checklist other than open up all the sea cocks and start the engines. I do all my periodic maintenance items in the fall so the spring is pretty simple.

I keep my boat in the water through the winter and connected to shore power so the batteries are always charged.

Anyone have a checklist to share?

Pretty amazing prices for what in many cases amounts to dropping the boat in the water and turning the keys. That's all we do at the marina. Drop it in and run it home.

Wow. I don’t now where to start here.

Having done most things on that list myself, I don’t see a good value to service ratio anywhere.

At least they’re not ripping you off for taking your boat for a ride.

Around here they call it “summerizing”, a word that always bugged me.

Perhaps it makes sense for someone paying by the pound to dispose of the shrink wrap? :)

I agree with the above. Seems steep to flush the head and turn the keys...

They aren’t giving anything away at those prices.

Let’s see..

Remove shrink and frame 1 hr.
Stuff into car and take to recycle ♻️ center 1 hr.
Move boat to slip and install canvas 1 hr.

@ MM prices of $520+taxes =$173/hr.
Yard guys aren’t worth it, I’ll do it myself thanks.
