Were there last summer! Fun trip from Charlevoix.

$30 bucks a person just to tie up! It's hard to be cheap and be a boater but.....I think I'd need the tie-up fee to include a case of decent beer to pay $150 for my family to make a stop.

Love that light. $30 for a couple hours is OK with me. It's for the restoration funding. It's good to see groups taking the initiative to restore the lights as opposed to letting them crumble into the lake. When I cruised from central Lake Michigan to the Straits, the White Shoal light was always a welcome sight and meant the last leg of the cruise. Now that I'm slipped in Mackinaw City, it's a nice day trip to the light to entertain guests.
