Hop to get some help from the club here. My new to me 2003 320 DA had two bad gauges that I would really like to get repaired. In the starboard 4 in 1 cluster my fuel gauge is not working. On my port cluster my oil pressure gauge is not working. I have exhausted trying to locate replacement clusters. I have also exhausted my google search trying to find someone to repair both of the gauges in my clusters. I know I can put replacement clusters in there and it may come to that but I really like the “stock look” (car guys on here will understand me LOL) so I just want to make sure I have kicked over every rock before I go down that road. I also know that being a 2003 I can get upgraded electronics to give me that information and I will go down that path next year when my boat bucks get built back up.

Have you verified that the senders for those two functions are good? Typically, the senders will be the problem - not the gauges. Try swapping the gauges. Or swapping oil senders and/or testing the fuel sender circuit.

Not sure if he works on these gauges but it may be worth a call.

Thanks Kevin, I have already talked to him and all he does is LCD right now. The thing I don’t get is that none of the dozen or so automotive gauge restoration shops will even talk to me.

Thanks, but yes we have done everything to narrow it down to gauges are the issue. As soon as you apply power they both just top out.

Just double checking... you accessed the fuel sender and checked the wires? With the needle jumping to full, it sure sounds like you lost ground. And you tried swapping gauges to double check there was no issues with the wiring in between the senders and the gauge? Maybe you already 100% diagnosed the gauge as the issue - just want to make sure you're going down the right path before spending money.

Those 4-n-1 gauges were not specfic to your model - they were used across many models - which increases your chances of finding a used one. Try googling for your part number. You might get lucky. Personally, I'm not aware of a company that does this type of fix for this type of gauge - Gaugesaver, yes, but as mentioned, he does LCD display repair. That Marine Connection looks like a good, possible source for a used one.

FYI, there were some slight differences between "models" of 4-n-1 gauges over the years (display "cosmetics"), so that Marine Connection may need a picture of your gauge.

Yes, I really appreciate the input, we even installed a New sender in the offending tank with no help. On the computer the oil pressure sender is sending out solid data. I can get telfix gauges in my set up but I would have to cut my harness up and modify my dash to fit. I was just hoping to avoid going down that road.

OK, gotcha.

I agree - try to find a matching setup - just makes things easier and keeps a consistent look. My online parts catalog is offline right now. But when it's back up, I'll check to see if there's any in stock at Sea Ray - chances are it's no longer available, but sometimes we get lucky.

In the meantime, if you have your parts catalog, try some googling and even ebay or FP marine.

I have had the same issue of finding a replacement guage for my 2003 320. Have been searching for a new guage for over a year. No luck.

Look around in the classic car world. Try google. Several shops in the country repair and restore gauges and instruments for classic cars and they may be able to help you out or point you in the right direction.

If these are smartcraft gauges that might explain why they don't to work on them.

Sent an email over to Bob, he was one of the first shops I found. He said no as did 4 others... I ordered the Mercury module today that will allow me to get my data to my IPad or Phone while I continue to problem solve.

You could also see if you can get the gateway to nema2000 and bring up the data on your MFD.

Yea Kevin ain’t got that as well... I am going to upgrade my electronics next year when I have some additional boat bucks. Getting all the data to my IPad will get me through this season. We don’t have any big trips planned for this year.

My parts catalog is back up and running:

Too bad you don't have a stern drive (for this issue, anyways)... The original gauges (both V-drive and stern drive) are no longer available. But, oddly enough, for the stern drive ONLY, there is a replacement 4-n-1 available from Sea Ray. You could probably use it, but you would lose your fuel gauge in lieu of an outdrive trim gauge.

If you want to google, though, here are your part numbers:

Port side: 1540848
Stbd side: 1540855

It's probably a long shot, but maybe call Teleflex directly?
