Different Ratio Lower End Question

Unless your running a 5.7 with atleast 320 hp running a 1.32 wont work . The 1.32 behind a 7.4 330 Hp big block was used on light boats and the operator had to use a gentle right hand
Lower unit ratios are all the same.
 
Isn't 1.32 the ratio that should be in an upper for a 7.4? Are you sure that isn't what you have now?
All the lower ratios are the same as I understand it.
