Anyone ever convert there TV area to a bar?

Whooo. All done. Looks better in person. The back gasket I had to double up so the bottle would hold. I didn't have the right bit. If your local, come by and take the old one if you want..

Looks great! I am sure you will enjoy! Now - how do we get rid of the DVD player up top? I have been pondering was to recover that space.

I asked my cabinet guy if he thought he could open it to above and he did not want to entertain touching it. I wish they left it like the 2003.5 with the door. Maybe we can start another thread on that later on.

I saw the first page and said "wow, I bet oak with ebony would have looked great there" glad I read the 3rd page before I commented. Nice look.
To make it weigh half as much and look a little less bulky if someone wanted to, 3/8 or 1/2 oak would still be strong enough for that. Although 3/4 is much more readily available unless you have a bandsaw. Or your own mill.

Love that look though, and the lights look killer

well never built it last year.... Was just copying some pics.... Def gonna try to build it this year.... How did it work out last year??

Excellent conversion. It looks real nice. That said, I must be the only boater on the planet that doesn't typically drink alcohol.
Nope, there's another like you. VERY rare, but my friends wife doesn't either.

My Friend who owes a boat don't drink... But his wife does........ So he's usually the driver/captain when we are going out....

Nah, I don't drink much on the boat either. Maybe 1-2 Twisted Teas over the whole summer. We're usually only out during the day, though.

Was just going through my garage. If anyone's local you can have my first one I built. Maybe just scuff it up or leave it as is if you want. Either way it will save you a tone of work.
