I am looking for an OEM tachometer for my 2003 Amberjack - Cant get the engines sync'd and tried just about everything except replacing the current aftermarket tach with an OEM.

Thanks in advance.
 
What does the tach look like? I have a single engine tach I took off after I did the smartcraft upgrade. It has a rectangular plug with six (?) terminals.

Just of curiosity, did you try swapping tachs - port for stbd - just to eliminate any other variables?

I think it is the standard 3in tach with the hour meter in LCD.
 
has anybody had issues with a tach that shows steady RPMs sometimes and swings wildly at other times, looking for a how to fix it kind of responce
 
Yes..........probably 80% of the Sea Ray owners with diesel engines have. Gas engine tachs don't seem to be as prone to going nutty.

Google "clubseay Aetna tach" and you will see an elegant solution to the tach problem.
