I'll try this question here. I am looking to learn about selecting and installing inverters. I want to put my "galley systems" breaker on an inverter rather than the house 120v wiring. That way I get the tv, fridge, microwave and several outlets all available to battery when on the hook. Microwave is the big draw at 1200 watts. I would mount it above battery charger so it would be close to batteries. I'd then run the 120v wire from it to the breaker. Not sure if I need to disconnect the breaker from house 120v wiring or there is some way to combine the inverter power and house power at the breaker. Have any of you done this project?
Update: after further research I'll stick with the generator. Would have to reconfigure to add better house batteries and not interested in that
