I just bought a new Hightfield cl310. 10 foot dinghy with an Aluminum hull 125 pounds. . The boat has a 16 degree dead rise in the rear and up more towards the front. I am looking at different methods to mount on the back of the boat. I have been using the Weaver method. I would like to keep the motor with the fuel tank. Been looking a ST Croix, Hurley, Trick Davits.

Any thought or suggestions.

I picked up the Tricks through ebay . You can see my dinghy which is sitting on them on my avitar pic. I think I paid 500 for them. Its been 5 years since and I am very happy with them. I also have friends who have Hurley. Both systems seem to work fine... If your shopping, maybe a good value on Ebay might be the deciding factor . I don't think you can go wrong with either

If you're interested in a SeaWise davit system I have one for sale and would make someone a good deal on it. Check out their website. It's the mechanical version where you crank it up, not the one that's hydraulic.

PM me if you're interested.

Installed a Hurley on our 390 Sundancer, it was fine.

Our 44 came with a Nautley XL roller system.

We have a 310 RBI with 9.9 HP. What makes it usable for us, the PO installed a metal base, starboard of center, in the transom locker. Insert a metal post with a trailer winch mounted near the top and one person can retrieve the dinghy.

I have a Highfield Ocean Master 390 sitting on a Hurley H30+ which is probably more that you need that works great for us.

I have a set of nautley davits that were on my 34 Sundancer. That were used less than a year.Like new condition. Please let me know if you are interested.

I went through this a few years ago. Really good advice is go with Hurley H3. Trick Davits may be fine with soft bottom dinghy but their customer service is not very good. Nautley and Weaver make good Davits but both will require some pretty serious effort to load a solid bottom dinghy. My requirement was that I wanted to be able to load my 10’fiberglass bottom dinghy without removing my10hp outboard by myself. The Hurley H3 fit the bill. I added the extension bars for mounting so that I can walk between the lazerette and the dink. It was worth every penny. I went with the manual crank rather than the electric and have no regrets.

The davits are the HD + extended 1 Yr old like new condition
