Hi,
Recently purchased a 2002 320. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for reasonable remote boat monitoring systems ( dock power status, bilge pump activity, high water, etc....).

I had Boat Command on my 340 and it worked flawlessly for 5 years. The only downfall was the app was a little basic IMO. So for my new boat I went to Siren marine. It has only been installed for a few months now but it seems to be working well. Part of the reason I went with it is the ability to have wireless sensors. It is a lot easier than running wires everywhere. I hard wired the critical data such as bilge pump, battery and shore power. The wireless is good for the ancillary items such as door alarms and additional bilge pumps. I like the Siren app much better. Here is a pick of the app on my iPad. If the item is read then it is outside the parameters. I am on the hard and not connected to shore power so that is red and my house battery is weak and has lost some volts over the past week since I had the charger on so that is below my minimum threshold and is red as well.

@Jeremygavin - What I would find super helpful if instead of just displaying "OK" for bilge - is instead showing the number of times the bilge pump cycled on over the last 24 hours (or last week). That would be truly helpful information that would help an owner determine if they are starting to have some (of the worst kind) of problem on their boat. If they displayed that instead of just "OK" - I'd find their product much more helpful.

Here is a screenshot of the BoatCommand dashboard. It does show activity counts as well as the ability to define how often an event must occur before it sends out a notification. The downside, is they don't have a native mobile app. Just a website. That said, the website looks like a native app when displayed on an iPhone or iPad.

edit: pay no attention to the water tank leaked alarm. I haven't hooked that up yet and it needs a pull-up resistor.

It does show that information. Once you click on a sensor, it shows the information. You can manually set the minimum and maximum number of cycles and run times. It isn’t showing any data because the pumps haven’t gone off in 2 months. When it sends the text and/or email with an alert it states the number of run times and if it hit the maximum

I have been with SimpliSafe for over 2 years and have been very happy with it. There is no Wi-Fi on my dock so I needed a cellular-based system. I have door sensors, motion sensors, power outage, temperature, CO, smoke, high water and for a $500 buy-in and $25/mo it works for me.
