Every once in awhile in the life of a boater he's faced with a question of what could only be described as supremely important. Seamen and, men in general have pondered questions such as this and have struggled over the centuries about what the correct answer is.

So, fellow CSR'ers, let me pose such a question to you. There are only two possible answers to this question. Think hard about it and be prepared to justify your answer.

The question:
Look at the two photos below, determine which one (top or bottom) appears to you to be the correct answer. Pick one then justify your response.

Not sure I see or understand the difference, both photos show the material will unroll toward the floor. Creekwood's photo shows an early attempt at recycling the material allowing the user to reverse pedaling motion to reuse the material.

Are you kidding me??? The admiral would definitely let me know if I had installed the device without out the roll over in place.

A. I think it looks better and is easier to pull but if I remember correctly I saw a report years ago where a study was done and it was more sanitary. My guess is due to germs on surfaces. With B the toilet paper would be touching against the contaminated surface. Dunno. Just what I prefer...lol

EDIT: oops. realized i had A and B reversed. fixed it...lol

Justification: You can make that silly fold in the toilet paper that makes everyone think you can afford a maid.

A. because - Doesnt everyone’s wife make them refold a hotel triangle on the first square? Impossible with the under roll.

I don't understand the reason for the question. The toilet seat appears to be up in both pictures so it must be a single man's home and a single man don't care which way the paper is on the roll.:D;):D;)

B. It is proven that you use less toilet paper in this direction.[/QUOTE]

What is more important-saving the paper or doing a good job. ???

A.
It seems as though there are fewer instances of playing "Where is the end of the toilet paper!" when in the 'A' configuration.

A. More sanitary, the paper does not touch the wall. (From documentation at our hospital's housekeeping training manual).

There is no question as to your marital status..

There is a third option!

Actually, there's a documented correct way to place toilet paper onto the holder,— which is in the “over” position. Seriously — the 1891 patent for the toilet paper roll literally states that the end of the roll should be hanging off the exterior, so there's that. Found it on the internet so it has to be gospel!
