Engines

2x 370-hp MerCruiser 8.1S Horizon with V-Drives turning 4 blade wheels

Anyone have any experience retrofitting their older boats with one of these to their newer MFD for engine data?

Mercruiser makes one. I put it on my 8.1s and get all kinds of data on the MFD's.

Tell me more how you did it and what MFD you connected it to? Did you have to set up a SeaTalkng?

It’s not as hard as it seems, provided your engines are Smartcraft cable. If not, you need to look at the FOX marine gateways:
