The whole process takes a few minutes to remove which is really not all that bad as we talk about it but I can see myself dropping the bolts in the water at some point. Like Joe said it is nice to have the platform clear of all obstructions once removed. I guess if there was a way to keep the bolts in place but still allow them to slide in and out it wouldn't be so bad.
I would try to keep spares on that for sure, I would drop them in. You know, Murphy's law...
I did not see you had a track system in the first pictures. It makes more sense now, seeing the closeup pics,
