These three boats came in together and the sound was incredible. You could feel the vibrations on your chest as they backed into the slips behind us. Knew how to handle their boats and had them shut down almost immediately so as to not bother others. They left the same way the next day. Had their lines untied, waited until traveling partners were ready to go, and then they each turned their keys at the same time and were gone in about a minute. Experts at marina etiquette, and nice folks as well.

Sorry, not a boat but it's still pretty cool.

Tacoma Narrows Bridge... They strung the cables and then brought the deck sections in on barges all engineered in advance with only one small problem... They didn't factor in the 12-foot tidal swing so they couldn't get past the old bridge until the ebb tide gave enough clearance.

Nordlund Boatyard is 2 minutes from our boathouse and I got a tour last year... This is 125' with an elevator. The pictures do not do it justice. The 1st few pics here are sideways. There is a pic of the tube for the elevator with a spiral staircase wrapping around it.

Vasa (or Wasa) is a retired Swedish warship built between 1626 and 1628. The ship foundered after sailing about 1,300 m (1,400 yd) into its maiden voyage on 10 August 1628.
