Fender holders

I got Fenda Sox and inflatable fenders. I only keep 2 Taylormades for docking and emergencies. Everything stores nicely in the lazerett hatch

Hi,
We tried different fender baskets and clips but hanging the fenders was still uncomfortable. We came up with an Automatic Fender basket, we can dock now without leaving the Cockpit: The fenders are stored horizontally almost invisible. Actually they are stored without a basket... Please take a look:

Aside from the fact that fenders should never be hung/tied to the rails as this leads to excess stress on the stanchions leading to possible leaks and gelcoat cracks. Those look like $hit. (IMO of course) Probably would go unnoticed on a Baysinker though.

Dear Mitch,
I agree that when docking there is a lot of tension on the line, in order to resolve that a line with the best shock absorbing qualities is being used. I also agree with you that best looks is when the fenders are removed and stored, I never saw a fender basket that added to the looks....:) Unfortunately in many boats the access to the bow is not convenient. The bow access in our boat is very similar to the boat in your post: inconvenient. After trying few fender baskets and (a) not liking their looks and (b) realizing that we still need to climb to the bow; I built this solution. From all fender baskets out there I do believe that this is the best looking one: (a) it actually doesn't have a basket (b) the fenders are stored horizontally under the railing not blocking the captains view (c) it is small, it is the smallest fender basket by far (d) it is made of white shining PolyCarbonate and blends great with the boat; making it almost invisible and (e) most important it eliminates the need to climb to the bow so my wife is happier:)
This product helps many boaters with difficult bow access or bad knees or solo boating and more. The market for the product is small, we did not build it as a business, we built it to help boaters. Reading the thank you letters we get I believe that we are doing a good thing for the community. Majority of the installations are on SeaRays including a brand new 2018 40' Sundancer.
Thank you, Sam
An enthusiastic boater and the developer
