Little kids onboard

I'll give you the same advice a friend gave me when our twins were born. "Just don't drop them. You'll figure the rest out on your own". They are 21 now. You will do fine. Good looking kid you have there!

Jaybeaux
We had a boat before kids and a house. Our oldest is 3 years older then his twin sisters... days after each was born they were on the boat.. just a little cuddy. Some of the best times ever. Like Jaybeaux said... you will figure it out ...no special instructions/rules apply. Just enjoy that time...it's priceless

My happy oldest... He is 28 today and expecting his first kid...making me a grandpa... not liking that...he loves the boat ... Drives it ... Knows all the rules.. I would trust him with my life on the boat.. I actually look forward to him coming up so I don't have to drive... As a captain and owner I really like being a passenger

I love it, great suggestions and stories. hunting down the drinks is a great idea. I remember when we were younger we’d drink half of everything, mainly those sugar drinks that came in the plastic barrel looking thing with foil top, and leave them everywhere. Freeze pops too, plastic sticky mess.

The new slip also has lots of space for the dingy, so I’m looking forward to putting around with the 3 of us in that. It gets hot in the marina basin so being able to get away from the dock without taking the big boat out will be nice once in a while.

Kids on the boat. That’s what boating is all about, family. My daughter(hat) has been on board since she was 6 months old. My grandkids have been onboard about the same age.

When we take the boat out we usually don’t go very far. They want to be in the water not sitting in a boat. Plenty of beverages and food on board.

I just booked our 9th annual 2 week Muskegon State Park camping and boating trip. Been going there 7 out of the last 8 years. One year we went to Lake Cumberland. Because Muskegon and the campsite I like is soo busy I have be sitting at my computer with my finger on the button 180 days in advance to the minute.

First picture is Morris Lake, Indiana. Took the kids out of school to view the Solar Eclipse.

Second is The Muskegon Channel.

Enjoy your family.

Small world - the photo in my signature is almost directly starboard of the location of your photo. Just off the small beach there at the state park. We go there every year and spend a night or two on the hook, dinghy to bear lake tavern, hit up Dockers, spend lots of time on that small beach...good times.
