If that boat from Totally were to survey well that's quite a price considering the upgrades. Could be a good buy though I'd question anyone that spent $3k on a boat mattress :)

Hey There, I have owned the boat three years. I bought it from the original owner. The mattress was his expense not mine.
I spend my money on electronics not mattresses lol. I priced my boat in the middle of the market for hopefully a quick sale in the spring. I am an electronics guy so the hours of the research and selection of equipment was painful and expensive>
Now I get to do it again... yay me

I suppose I missed that you were salt water. You'd probably be a little closer to the low end for a well cared for 340 if you were freshwater. Especially with 2 season old canvas and new-ish electronics. For the right buyer those bits and pieces add a lot of value. Again, assuming the boat surveys excellently. If you've got a wet deck, for example.....all the electronics in the world won't save you from an informed buyer and the cost of a proper repair :)

I am not sure how the pics will look when I upload them.
I removed the old graphics and emblems and rear white hatches and went with the metal/stainless ones.
I feel it looks fresher. I feel it looks newer than a 2000 yr but I may be biased.

Hey there, Thanks for your reply. I do not think people consider the bay "salt water" above the bay bridge.
It is lightly brackish this far up and we do not have the signs of scaling like my friends boats on the coastal marinas.
I def understand that the electronics are not a good investment. I did them for me.
All things being equal between my boat and another I am thinking that the money I spent will get me more looks but not return anywhere close to what I invested.

They'd look better if they weren't upside down! :D

You may be, but you're not wrong. This was a really nice modernization touch. It's the little things like this that an owner does that gives a new buyer confidence that the previous owner cared for, maintained and upgraded his boat.

Boy, I don't know that I agree about the canvas and the electronics. I'm in the market for a (larger) boat right now and if I found one with ONLY 2 year old canvas, I'd be ecstatic! Most of the boats I see on the market need new full canvas and glass enclosures. The buyer of this boat gets a turn-key boat and doesn't have to spend $5-6k right away for new canvas!

And as for electronics... new-ISH? Seriously? The sedan bridges I'm looking at are in the same era as TG's boat. They ALL come with the original electronics. Which means ANOTHER $5k+ that I have to spend on Day 1. A used boat with 1-2 year old electronics would be wonderful to find. All you need to do here is wait until March and update the maps on the plotter card!

A poor survey would hurt any deal, I agree. But my impression of this boat (based on the description, the upgrades and the pics) is that it would survey well. And wouldn't it be nice to buy a boat that you can use right away, without having to drop $10K+ cash into on Day 1?

You clearly misread my entire post, Scooper. I was indicating his boat may be under-priced, especially if "only" 2 year old canvas and newish electronics. I was only discounting him for saltwater.

Perhaps read my initial post above for context. Top to bottom, left to right :)

No need to be a smart ass. I read your post multiple times before I responded. Perhaps you should read it again, to see how it actually reads? Perhaps it’s not the reader with the issue?

Heck, I could spend 10k on a new boat on day one :)
