Are any of you affected by this? I cannot believe the number of people on social media that do not get what is going on here. They ignorantly blame Spectrum, whom I have no love for, saying greedy cable co took away their station.

This has little to do with Spectrum or its service. I am not a cheerleader for them. This is about the station owner, Tribune, wanting more money from subscribers and the cable co fighting it.

This was all caused by flawed Supreme Court rulings that said the cable co must pay the local station, that is broadcast free over the air, if they act as your antenna to give you good signal.
These fights are almost always about what is called local retransmission fees that are passed directly to the subscriber. Ever see where HGTV or other cable channels are in this fight? Not often. Like it or not the truth is Spectrum is in this fight to keep costs down.

I have Spectrum in Indianapolis. Spectrum internet. Cut the cable years ago. Use Amazon Prime Firefox when I want to watch TV. Also have an antenna on the house when we want to watch the local TV stations.

An antenna is what I use, cut cable years ago. Stream the rest.
