Kind of becoming a New Years Day tradition for me. They have been holding a barefoot water skiing tournament at our marina every New Years Day - regardless of weather - for some 20+ years. This year was one of the warmest, it was in the 60's, last year was one of the coldest in the mid 20's. Here are some pictures of the scene - my boat is locked up in that big building, so I didn't get to see it. Love the ski towboats - the towboat was a Sanger Barfooter - it was used for the World Barefoot Championships in Ontario Canada earlier this year. The boat's owner was there and participated - apparently they pre-sell these towboats, the boat has a number of tournament commitments, then the owner takes delivery. He towed the boat down PA for the tournament yesterday. There was also a Ski Nautique and a couple of Malibu's tooling around.
