Happy Holidays! I searched on here for a while and can't find the solution to the windshield vent molding. I have a '99 340 DA. I am looking to redo everything on the windshield. I was able to find the windshield molding at the base but no solution for the vent.

Has anyone replaced the windshield vent molding? Where did you buy it and how did you attached it to the glass vent? If there is a post that I missed, let me know.

Thanks for your help!

I went to my Sea Ray dealer as you cant go direct to Taylor Made. Taylor makes to order.. it took about 3 weeks and mine was around $225.00

Search Vent Gasket....there are a number of discussions about them

These trim pieces shrink after installation. I wonder if you could measure the gap that developed in the old material, order new that is that much longer, and then expose them to the elements for some period of time to preshrink them to the proper length prior to installation?

Go to a gasket company and buy closed cell gasket. 1 1/4 " wide x 7/8" thick works perfect for mine. A fraction of the cost of the Taylor Made gasket.

Rssll45 - thanks, what did you use to attached it to the glass?

Happy New Year!

Thanks Blueone - Glad I have an option...$225 for $5 worth of material...incredible. Happy New Year

I used taylor made for the same windshield seal. Supposedly was the same part nunber searay gave me (330 sundancer but same idea) the taylor made seal was expensive and didnt fit at all.. it was different then what searay must have used originally. I was able to make it work ok by cutting it alot.. but that drives me nuts. Paid $220 for this to be wrong. So be cautious and double check the seal type and shape.
