I just ordered new tracks for my sliding door ( 2004 , 340 Sundancer ) and I ordered Aluminum. The tracks before were plastic. I ended up placing the order then emailing them to change to plastic. I'm concerned about the alignment with the Aluminum. Will it be harder to align? I don't know.

Keep me posted-mine our plastic-going to be a job to replace -have a great Holiday form SoCal

How did you make out with this, I have a 2004 340, just took my cabin door and tracking out. I am seeing the aluminum appears to be what to replace the plastic with. Original Plastic track wore out bad, trucks busted, looking at ordering parts now. I’d be interested if all worked out. I get it mechanically just wondering if any tips. I did not remove my helm. It came out rather easily except for 1 screw under helm that took awhile to get out on top track. Thanks for any words of wisdom here. Just reread your post and realized you went with plastic, still how did it work out ? Originally my post asked how the aluminum went in. I’m leaning towards the aluminum after seeing how bad original plastic deteriorated

I think your talking about me. Either way I used metal tracks. The door has to come out to remove them. It was pretty easy to do. The only pain was re-aligning the door after. I had to drill new holes in the upper and fiberglass. The bottom track stayed in the same position, but the top track I left loose with the trucks attached to the door. I had to close the door to the lock and then open it a little and mark where the upper track was. Then re-drill the holes to mount it. I also only put 2 screws back in the part under the helm. It really sucks, because the holes have to line up and there is no room to tighten them.
