Sea Ray & me

Rusty
I was disappointed in SR’s decision to pull out of the yacht market. Although a yacht doesn’t suit my interests, the innovation and design cues flowed down to the day boats and cruisers, and that will be lost.
Our paths only crossed once when you sent an unsolicited offer to help me with an issue. It was a generous offer and a testament of your willingness to help fellow boat lovers.
It is sad there is not a place for you in what SR is becoming, but times change and companies evolve. Hopefully this keeps the rest of the portfolio strong, and provides the catalyst for you to launch into one last voyage before you truly retire.
Please keep us posted.

Rusty, you have been Sea Ray’s most trusted and broadly respected leader in the eyes of many of us. Your knowledge, experience and love for your job has been felt by all of those whom have had the good fortune to meet you. Congratulations on a job very well done and we look forward to your next adventure. PS: we will all be waiting with bells on our heals. Many thanks for being such a great resource for all of us as Sea Ray lovers!

Although I’ve only been a CSR guru for a couple years Capt Rusty has shown his true colors with me. What a great brand rep you have been and your loyalness so Searay is second to none.

I can’t wait to see what you do in the future and we are always your friends who welcome you with an open house and open boat in Texas... Anytime!

Josh and Jaci Marley

All the best Captain.
I'm certain no matter where you land, you will make it a better place as you have done with CSR.

Captain,

Sad to see you leave but at the same time we're glad that you will still be there to guide us and advise us. You have been an amazing resource for us and a true ambassador for the brand.

On a personal note, you were very generous with your time back in Feb. 2013 when you provided my wife and I a wonderful tour of the Sea Ray facility at Merritt Island. I probably learned more about yacht construction from you that day than in my 25+ years on the water. You also shared your knowledge with us during a couple of Miami boat shows later on.

Good luck with your new direction Rusty and thanks for staying in touch.

How can Sea Ray survive, no larger boats, no Capt Rusty. Rusty, I did have the pleasure of a private, unannounced tour from you a couple years ago. You were so hospitable, considering we just showed up. I wish you great happiness in your future endeavors.

Rusty ,

Rob

Thank you for all of your contributions Captain! Best of luck in your next chapter and I’m sure you know how much we all appreciate your insight and assistance. Cheers to you!! Sandy

Merry Christmas Rusty! Have a great holiday season with your family then hit the ground running! I know the wheels have been turning for some time now so something will be in the works very soon I imagine. Kathy & I are hoping to see you soon and remember, you always have a place (and a boat club) out here whenever you want to visit the left coast.

Congrats on starting the next leg in life’s journey. It is people like you that have kept us loyal to the brand through the years. Sail on Sailor.,..

Thirty-three years is quite a run...Captain Rusty,

You are a gentleman and living legend. It’s been a privilege and honor to know you and benefit from your expertise. May all roads lead to health, happiness and prosperity this year, and for many years to come, for you and yours.

Just DAMN!

We only had the pleasure to meet and talk a few times, but you have always been such a great guy to visit with and you have been so extremely generous with your time. Thanks for sharing Capt.

Wishing you the absolute best in your next venture. You are always welcome at Lake Lanier and we hope to hear from you soon.

No words can say, so I'll put it in a show......boating with Capt. Rusty, Love those Sea Ray's!

It has truly been an honor to be the beneficiary of the Captain's knowledge and experience. Something as odd as finding the manufacturer of a swim ladder for a 370 DA turned out to be an incredible conversation where I could not learn enough from this incredible man, including the fact that, more than likely, he sprayed the gel-coat in the build of our 370DA early in his Sea Ray career.

This is the closure of one chapter and the crafting of the next. Whatever it is, it will be done with the integrity, passion and standards of excellence of his past work. As a group, CSR is blessed to continue to have Rusty's continued involvement and expertise.

May the Captain and family have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday and the absolute best of New Years.

Rusty,

Great pictures....a life worth living! Few people get a chance to have a job that brings them that much fun, a huge fan following and the enduring respect of social media.

Note to Santa: Rusty deserves some great presents!
