2007 Sea Ray 290 radar & GPS, triple axle trailer. 2006 Sea Ray 280 radar & GPS & triple axle tlr
Engines
5.0 MPI closed cooling Sea Core engines & Bravo III outdrives
4.3 MPI with alpha outdrives
does anyone have suggestions for installing a broadband radar unit and matching display unit with GPS
 
What would you like to know. I installed a Raymarine Axiom system along with the Quantum radar on my 340SDA earlier this year.

Have a 10 year old Lowrance Broadband and an HDS unit mounted on my 280
 
I have furuno if you want info on that.
 
We had a neighbor on our dock with a 280 and he removed the cup holder on the port side of the dash and mounted his screen there. He just angled the display so it was easy to see from the helm chair.

Did you put in a new transducer to use with the Axiom's sonar capabilities? I'd like to replace the Northstar 6000i that's original to my boat but transducer replacement has kind of slowed me down since that's a haul out task.

The boat had an airmar P79 though hull that I was able to reuse. I had to get two cables to attach. It's standard sonar but works well for my needs. I really like the realvision sonar but can not justify it for my use... Now if this was a fishing vessel I would have done it immediately.

Your going to have to I'd the existing transducer to see if can be adapted.
