Show off your dock

In the right place the dock is a very social place, I have made lifelong friends at the dock.

Exactly. With me having only 2 employees who are much younger than I, and the wife having about 120 employees but having a rule not to mix work/personal, and then living in a pretty rural area, we didn't really have a lot of local friends. This changed over the last 2 years due to the marina. Really good folks there who we now vacation with, do dinner things, go to concerts with, even off-season.

View attachment 62912 One of the things I like about the marina I am at is the use of a sub dock to gain more room for dock storage , kids off boat when in slip , gear off boat, entertainment.. etc.

The upright dock box has a built in pressure washer with water softener

What do you like about your dock?
Hi Joint Custody,
That looks like an incredible set up. Nice work! We just placed and offer, and received and acceptance, on a 460DA.
Its been a long time coming. Survey to be first week of January but unlike others we've been thru, I fully expect this one to be fine. It is in the Florida Gulf and we expect it to stay there. Never been on the water at Lake Powell but always admired its beauty.

Congratulations Bob! Good luck through the process.

There is one other "dock" that has not been mentioned. I have made lifelong friends there, have given and been given trip, time, and money saving advice. Laughed my a$$ off, mourned with friends over loss or pain, and lived a passion we share.

It is a "virtual dock" with friends you can't wait to see what they say or what they are up to. Because without friends this would be just an online Chilton's.

Thanks Jim for maintaining this "dock". Thanks to Scott and Chuck for keeping the lines tied.

Just checked in on my dock via our harbor cam. Geese are walking on my slip

Yes, makes for very easy load/unload for sure.

Most have a patio set and bbq and at lease an umbrella.

It is tight as hell in there but it's very protected so wind isn't a real big issue. We have a saying..."if you can dock at Green Cove Marina you can dock anywhere."

My slip marked (far right, A-Dock).

So many of these pictures make me realize how fortunate I am to be a few dozen steps from my parking area. My slip is where the left dockbox is.

This is where we are this coming year (center Left). It's a side tie so not sure if I am going to really like it being up against posts. The location puts us a short trip to Put In Bay (top right) and the other islands which was the main reason we chose this marina.

Here's my marina just outside of Dallas, TX. It's pretty massive to say the least - and this isn't the entire marina in the picture. Our docks have the identical build outs that the earlier poster showed from Texoma. The original slip they put me in didn't work out. 13' beam in a 14' wide slip - 6" on either side with a jackass neighbor that had his bow sticking out 8 ft made docking a chore. I couldn't even put two fenders on either side of the boat while in the slip it was that tight. After one incident while docking where the dock actually caught and tore off my rub rail, (a section on the dock was missing rash guard on the board edge and the run rail screw caught it), I decided I'd suck up the extra coin and relocate to a less desirable dock which was a foot larger. This dock is much quieter fortunately/unfortunately. I was hoping to have slip neighbors who visited often, but the dock was occupied by only a handful of people.

Yes your are. My drive to the dock is four hours and then from parking lot to the slip is 1/4 mile walk.
That is why I try to go for no lees than a week at a time.

Hmm, why would I think you were from New Jersey?
