Keep A Dry Bilge With Arid Bilge...

No. If you don’t have a wet bilge then why would you invest in this fancy vacuum cleaner. Like someone said above just get the leaks fixed and you will have a nice dry bilge.

A dry bilge is king! Took months to find all the areas that leaked water. Only one left to cure and I am confident the rain water gets in the windshield track and then past a screw, then finally to bilge. Need to seal the screw and get a new weather strip screw cover.
My biggest leak I found was from the transom shower box durning rain. The box needed to be rebedded.

The mystery leak I found was during heavy seas and sea water would blow back down the bilge pump hose. Put a higher loop on top to stop that.

Thanks for the input.

Other than the summer months there is always some water in my bilge. Where does it come from? Try 10 months of torrential Pacific northwest rain.

Mine too. Most comes from packings dripping, which is normal.

I think I might have a half gallon of water in 2 bilge pump wells total. It’s not something I concern myself with.
