So let's hear about and see your cars.

My snow solution in the Buffalo area. I pull plenty of 4wd trucks and SUVs out of ditches that are wearing highway ribs or all-seasons.

We don't really need studded tires in Southern Ontario Toronto area because we don't get the storms that Buffalo gets, but it would be nice to have them. But they are illegal in Southern Ontario. I guess they are concerned they wear out the highways or something.

Yeah, they're pretty tough on concrete, pretty noisy, but damn when the weather truly gets nasty, I literally have zero pucker events.

Also not allowed in Michigan where we also have lake effect snow. Used to be legal here many years ago.

We are allowed studded tires here in PA but they have to be off by April 15th. Not sure when you are allowed to put them back on. I had them on my first car (1972 Cutlass) and hated them in the rain. I have always had 4x4's since about 1987 so I just run whatever tires are on it.

I had Pirrelli Scorpians on the Macan last winter. We just added a Panemera 4 with all season Michelins, so now I have a set of wheels and tires sitting in the garage.....

Did a set of those for the wife's SQ5. They work pretty well.

Don't have to look - you hear them - and yes, as the above poster says, we have "calendar limits" in MA too
They also do significant damage to the roads. Pretty much carve grooves in the right lanes of freeways.

Correct, its a 2009 997.2. I know some folks don't love the look of a Porsche. Obviously I don't agree. But even the ones that don't care for the look change their minds immediately after driving it. Nothing drives like a 911!
One of my sons bought this car a little more than a year ago. I had never driven a Porsche before. Have always owned sports cars, Italian, American, a bunch of Audis. Until the Audis, I never considered them to be daily drivers. After driving it, discovered my head did not hit the ceiling, seats were comfortable, fairly easy to get into and out of. I sold the Audi and ordered a new Porsche with a custom build. It's my new daily driver. Pleasantly surprised with how it handles snow.

2018. A little more than a year old and 15,500 miles on her. Will be selling this summer when I order a 2020. Send me a PM if interested. Has never been driven by anyone other than myself.

My son had a 2006 BMW 325XI. Not a sports car but AWD. He was a senior in college and he sent me a pic from his dorm with the snow up past his front and rear bumpers. Said he drove right out of it, no shoveling required.

Audi Quattros are like that. Porsches, not so much.

My baby getting some TLC.

Getting a hand full of little things fixed before the warranty runs out.
